thank you
Your hope and kind words for Jodie have meant the world to me. She and I spent the weekend on the bathroom floor, and hearing from you day to day was so encouraging. Thank you for helping Dolce Vita Rescue recoup the cost of her surgery– I’m touched by your generosity and your confidence that this investment is worthwhile.
I never saw her really sleep in the first few days, but now she’s finally making up for lost time: deep, unselfconscious, paw twitching sleep for hours and hours.
I’m encouraged. You have my thanks for that, truly.

It’s good to hear she’s sleeping well, that first night was pretty hard. I hope I’ll see her in a few months and discover the personality that was peeking out from under her suffering.
“go to sleeeeep…. little puuuuup…”
This is so good to hear. I have two rescued dogs, so I know that they come with a past that you can only imagine. I LOVE those legs on her! Sleep girls, and sweet, sweet dreams of the future together!
oh best of luck with jodie! bless you!
your shelf is fabulous as were your kumquats and mimosa together.
bravo – great efforts!
yay! that is great news. she obviously is starting to feel safe.
in case you need something to take your mind off things for a bit, here’s a video that made me think of you instantly…about life as a chicken in the frozen tundra of MN. a little different than the life your chickens have, eh?
isn’t it wonderful how resilient and adaptable animals are?

Thrilled.
Hi Beth,
Are you keeping her or looking for a home for her?

Hi Lanie,
That’s the million dollar question these days.
We’re considering this a dating relationship for now– with the possibility of making if official somewhere down the line. We were a little worried that she might be a loner dog rather than a dog that, you know, delighted in the company of high energy Wilma, or that she might eat cats or something, but she’s doing beautifully so far with both.
Time will tell, I guess…
Thanks!
I’m glad to hear she’s starting to feel at peace.
Came over from Big Bang Studio to watch Jodie’s progress. Thank you for caring for her!
hey lady. just posted a wee link on bigBANG over to your place about rescue dogs. xo.
