Chickens and the women who love them
It’s no secret I have a bit of a chicken thing going.
If you needed further evidence, I’m guest blogging today at the extremely excellent IttyBittyImpact on why and exactly how you should be going about getting twenty or thirty or so of your own right away.
While it appears my personal best attempt at being helpful is pointing you to things I’ve already bought on Etsy, I really admire Tonia’s commitment to thoughtful, sustainable living. The make-your-own-laundry-soap video was adorable, her wedding was lovely AND green as a freaking bean, and now she’s moved into a little farmhouse so heartbreaking cute that we may not be able to be friends anymore. Ugh. Guest cottage.
Hop over and say hello for me!

hip hip hooray for teamwork and chickens!!!
her blog sounds right up my alley, running over to check it out now! thanks.
Men love them too, FYI. And I’m not referring to fried…
Yes yes. On one end of the spectum, they’re layers beloved across gender lines. On the other end, they’re breaded and arrive with dipping sauce. We certainly know into which category you fall.
I keep telling myself: Thou shalt not covet thine neighbor’s wyandotte.
But it’s so. hard.
(And Beth, you should see the chickens here in Inja. I might even have to do a post on them. All domestic breeds do, after all, come from the great Indian Jungle Fowl, right?)
Running over to Itty Bitty Farmhaus right this minute.
psst…dearest beth, i borrowed this picture and linked to 6OC all in the name of silver-laced wyandottes in my wee holiday gift guide. hope that suites your fancy. and happy, happy almost-christmas. i’m sure there are marvelous, pungent smells coming from your kitchen, and equally pungent but less-appetizing smells coming from your chicken coop. pats to the spotted dog.
hugs from india. xo
