project guest room: the debatably new bedsheet edition
I bought deadstock vintage sheets for the guest room– which, for the uninitiated, are brand new vintage items that have clearly spent the last 50 years in the world’s least organized warehouse.
Are they tacky?
Unforgivably.
But my personal comfort level with that is truly breathtaking.

I LOVE them! I swear my grandma had these… They just don’t make sheets like this anymore.
We totally had those. And I loved them. They were so soft and I thought they were completely beautiful. I think they had been Grandma’s and got handed down to mom.
Well I was going to tell you how amazing it is that you have these sheets because my grandma had them. And how it made me think of being a child, hanging out with Grandma. But I ‘m thinking that everyone who sees your post is going to be thinking the same thing. I love them!!!!!!
they are not tacky. they are AMAZING.
i think EVERY grandma had some version of these! love them!
xo
love them. and this blog.
OMG! My sister and I had these on our bed back in the 70′s. I think my mom purchased them from a catalog that was called Spiegel. I just called my sister and she can’t believe it either. Thanks for the memories. Love your blog.
These are definitely from the seventies….
They remind me of the sheets in the movie “On a Clear Day” – I always wanted some…the ones we had were a little itchy. I’ll bet Barbra’s were soft.
Methinks they’re loverly.
