and…shod!

April 19, 2010

Good things often come covered with rhinestones.

The receipt of my wedding shoes in the mail…

…besides giving me reason to seek out and stand in sunny spots all around the house, has made me really ridiculously excited to get married. Yes, yes, the prospect of a lifetime with the neatest and most conscientious folder of laundry on the planet ALSO.

But really, wedding planning is about details more cumulative and insistent than you’d ever thought possible, so it’s only fitting that a pair of extra-extra-extra shiny shoes could be what has put me over the edge into solid let’s DO this already territory.

But honestly, I’m ready to give the state of the union address in these shoes.

P.S. Speaking of rhinestones, where WOULDN’T be the perfect place to wear this delicious ram bangle. (Nice ring to that, right? As in, “My love, while you were away on a long and overly neglectful business trip, I most definitely and remorselessly spent our food and electric money on a delicious ram bangle. Stop making that face.”)

<And that, my friends, is our 100th post on the wild, wayward internets. Let us dearly hope the next hundred are as financially insensible, historically impeccable and grammatically questionable as the aforementioned would imply. Cheers!>

It’s like walking around with your own private disco ball! It’s a party wherever you go! So cool.

from whence came these sparkly wedding shoes?

    • April 19, 2010 10:53 pm

      J. Maskrey for Melissa. But I tell you, I bought the very last pair in the continental states.

Just as well, for had there been two pair left, I would have had to buy them both.

All that sparkles, all that shines. They are positively luminous.

I have done all I can do not to buy a pair of flocked those with their teeny peep for showing toes. It is best that I had not heard of such sparkles.

Those are pretty fabulous. I love the sparkles. I was pretty excited about my shoes, too. Which reminds me…I need an excuse to wear them…

Of COURSE you’re wearing sparkly jellies at your wedding. I would be severely disappointed it you wore anything else. These are top-notch, Bethlady.

Also, is a ram bangle related to a doo nanny? No. But I think you should wear ram bangles and Bill dress like Bojangles at *this* doo nanny:

I was traveling in NY this weekend. While I was in Laguardia airport, I saw YOUR shoes. The pictures you posted are magical, in real life they are ENCHANTING! The woman wearing them wore a very casual black pants and t-shirt ensemble, but the shoes made her look AMAZING! You are going to look EXTRAORDINARY on your wedding day!

    Those shoes positively rock.
