the art of the hitch-y tchotchke

There is a lot to love…

… about an el camino with a trailer.

El caminos can be pretty great all on their own; trailers arguably even better. Together, they are the stuff miniature legends are made of.

I’m very partial to a good trailer. Specifically to toy ones,  as they do not cost thousands of dollars and will not spend 355 days a year in my driveway next to the compost pile. Toys, sadly, cannot provide the shelter I require at lakeside campsites, but that’s a classic flaw in most things smaller than my toaster.

A tour of what’s up for grabs at the moment, but back off that third one, okay? I want it for my birthday.

 Good looking:

I’m pretty sure this is what Batman takes when he wants to get out of Gotham City for a quiet weekend down by the river.

Even better looking:

You can’t see me, but I’m in the tiny kitchenette, baking tiny cookies made of tin.

 And the best:

And that’s the game, folks. As they say in the miniature trailer business, I am slain.

They’re here,  here, and HERE on eBay. Where else?

p.s. This isn’t technically a travel trailer, but hell. Tiny bumpercars. I’m besotted.
